Performance Test Engineer

Kraków Duties and responsibilities:

- Defining, executing, and analyzing high-level performance testing strategies and solutions through business, functional and technical expertise;

- Implementing all actions required to deploy an application performance test;

- Implementing the technical infrastructure necessary for performance testing;

- Partner with development teams on maintenance, repair and tuning of applications;

- Define characteristics, capabilities, inputs, outputs, and results necessary to test the application for performance;

- Assisting in identifying, analyzing, mitigating and responding to project and operational risks;

- Assisting in agile processes and standards in order to continuously improve quality;

- Experience with performance test strategy, planning, execution, and analysis of detailed performance test plans for multiple releases of applications;

- Proven ability to analyze and trend performance and reliability of enterprise applications in production-like configuration and articulate test result impacts with key stakeholders;

- Understanding of complex technical architectures and derivation of key performance indicators for performance tests;

- Knowledgeable in Performance Engineering, and Problem Management methodologies.



Main skills, abilities and knowledge:

- B.S. degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent;

- Very good command of English both spoken and written;

- At least 5 years of system Performance, stress, scalability, volume, capacity & other system characterization related testing experience;

- Demonstrated skills in the following testing toolsets: HP LoadRunner;

- Knowledge of UNIX preferably Solaris and/or Linux operating systems;

- Must be able to create load test scripts using VUGen in at least three or more of the following protocols: HTTP, SOAP;

- Excellent understanding of performance characteristics of Java platform;

- Ability to work with Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle DB, MySQL DB etc to deploy applications and monitor resources during a performance tests.
